How a Weekly Crypto Lottery Works — CryptoPot Explained
Not a casino game. A real weekly jackpot.
Most things called a "crypto lottery" online are instant-win scratch cards or keno games dressed up with a Bitcoin logo. You play, you find out immediately, the house keeps the edge.
CryptoPot is different. It works like a real lottery — the kind where a pot builds all week, tickets close at a deadline, and one draw on Sunday decides who wins. The difference is that the prize is paid instantly in USDT directly to your crypto wallet, with no bank, no ID check, and no waiting for a cheque.
The basics in one paragraph
Every week, players buy tickets for ~$10 USDT each. Each ticket lets you pick 5 numbers from 1 to 35. Ticket sales run all week and close Sunday at 6:00 PM (Atlantic Standard Time). At 8:00 PM AST the same night, one ticket is drawn at random from the entire pool. That ticket's 5 numbers become the winning numbers for the week. Every other ticket is then checked — match 3 or more of those numbers and you win a consolation prize. The major winner gets the jackpot. Everyone is paid automatically in USDT BEP20, straight to the wallet address they registered with.
Then the week resets and it starts again.
Step by step: from ticket to payout
1. Register and connect your wallet
You create a CryptoPot account with your email address and your USDT BEP20 wallet address. This is the address your winnings will be sent to if you win — there's no manual claiming process.

2. Buy your ticket(s)
Each ticket costs ~$10 USDT. You pay via NOWPayments — a standard crypto payment processor — and your USDT BEP20 payment is confirmed on the Binance Smart Chain, usually within a few minutes.
You can buy multiple tickets in the same week. Each one is a separate, independent entry in the draw. More tickets = proportionally better odds. There are no tier bonuses or algorithmic boosts — it is purely linear.
3. Pick your 5 numbers
For each ticket, you choose 5 numbers from 1 to 35. These are your numbers for the draw. They're recorded against your ticket and can't be changed after purchase.
4. Tickets close Sunday 6:00 PM AST
At 6:00 PM Atlantic Standard Time every Sunday, ticket sales close for the week. No new entries are accepted after this point. The 2-hour window before the draw gives any pending payment confirmations time to settle.
5. Draw runs Sunday 8:00 PM AST
At 8:00 PM AST, one ticket is drawn at random from the entire pool of eligible entries. Every ticket has exactly equal weight — a player with one ticket and a player with ten tickets are entered proportionally, with no other adjustments.
The 5 numbers on that drawn ticket become the winning numbers for the week.
6. Consolation prizes checked automatically
Every other ticket in the pool is immediately checked against the winning numbers. If your ticket matches 3 or more of the 5 winning numbers, you win:
| Numbers matched | Prize |
|---|---|
| 3 of 5 | $10 USDT (your entry fee back) |
| 4 of 5 | $20 USDT |
| 5 of 5 | You're the major winner — see below |
During a VIP week, consolation prizes are doubled: 3-match pays $20, 4-match pays $40.
A player whose ticket is drawn as the major winner does not also collect consolation prizes — they already won the jackpot.
7. Jackpot paid to the major winner
The weekly pot is split as follows:
- 80% → winners pool
- 15% → platform operations
- 5% → affiliate pool (players referred by an affiliate; otherwise goes to operations)
Consolation winners are paid from the winners pool first. The major winner receives whatever remains — typically the large majority of it.
Example: 200 players enter, pot = $2,000.
- Winners pool: $1,600
- 3 consolation winners × $10 = $30
- Major winner receives: ~$1,570
8. Payouts sent automatically
All payouts — major winner, consolation winners, and affiliate earnings — are sent in a single automated batch via NOWPayments mass withdrawal, straight to each winner's registered wallet address. No claiming, no forms, no waiting.
You'll receive an email confirmation when your payout is sent.
How the countdown works on the homepage
The site shows two sequential live countdowns:
- "Tickets close in X" — visible while the week is open, counting down to Sunday 6:00 PM AST
- "Draw in X" — replaces the first once sales close, counting down to Sunday 8:00 PM AST
After the draw, results are announced on the homepage: the winning numbers, and each winner shown by partial wallet address and payout amount. Full addresses are never displayed publicly.
How your odds work
Your odds of winning the jackpot in any given week are simply:
your tickets ÷ total tickets in the pool
If 200 tickets are sold and you hold 2, your odds are 1%. If 50 tickets are sold and you hold 5, your odds are 10%.
Consolation prizes are a separate probability. With a pick-5-from-35 format, roughly 1 in every 97 tickets matches 3 or more numbers in a typical draw. Full odds breakdown →
Why USDT and not Bitcoin?
USDT is a stablecoin — its value doesn't change week to week. A $10 ticket bought on Monday is still worth $10 by Sunday's draw. With Bitcoin or Litecoin, a 20% price swing between purchase and payout creates unpredictable prize values, which makes running a fair weekly game complicated.
CryptoPot uses USDT BEP20 (on the Binance Smart Chain) specifically. BEP20 transactions cost fractions of a cent in gas fees, paid in BNB. There's no risk of the gas token running dry, and no need for players to hold a separate gas token. Why we chose BEP20 →
